Vivid Announces Release of Vivid Trace for JIRA version 1.4.2

Vivid, a leader in traceability and issue relationship visualisation for Atlassian JIRA, today released version 1.4.2 of Vivid Trace for JIRA. This new patch release brings performance improvements to key areas of the add-on software in addition to fixes for all known defects, offering the best vintage of Vivid Trace 1.4 to date.

Version 1.4.2, released today, fully enables the ability to restrict to whom traces are shown on issue and project pages to select users, project roles, and groups, a feature anticipated by many customers that offers a significant potential increase in system performance across whole organizations. It also features under-the-hood algorithmic performance improvements offering further speed-ups in tracing and page load times, and fixes for all 14 known defects. Full details of the improvements are noted in the Vivid Trace 1.4 Release Notes.

Vivid Trace 1.4 introduced the Trace Studio, a facility within JIRA that traces arbitrary JQL queries with customizable search, graph layout, and reporting features, a powerful tool for conducting traceability analysis, change impact analysis, and compliance assurance. It also provides add-on settings to cap long-running trace computations, enhanced personal tracing settings, and greatly-expanded support for multicultural and multi-regional teams with localizations in 20 languages.
